Aide Rotary in eradicating polio
Rotary members in Rockford are taking action in honor of World Polio Day to raise awareness, funds, and support to end polio, a vaccine-preventable disease that still threatens children in parts of the world today.
Through local and community efforts worldwide, polio can become the second disease to be eradicated, joining smallpox in that category. The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation is matching every Rotary donation 2-for-1. That means a donation of ten dollars will result in a contribution of thirty dollars. Rotary asks for your support in this ongoing battle to eradicate this terrible disease once and for all. Also, by donating through Rotary, every contribution will be tripled.
